„The seventh heaven for guitar players“, called Daniel G. from Ilmenau the day that he and 1.500 visitors experienced at the MEINL GUITAR FESTIVAL.
Live-Performances with or without attendance and workshops at the highest level inspired all day long. Whether rock, distorted riffs or delicate solos – the crowd paid tribute to the artists on stage.
In the “Route of History” the visitor had the chance to gaze at 300 original instruments from the last 40 years of music history. Besides that visitors saw unique models which have only been built one time. The Highlight of the day and crowning finish was the live-performance of Grammy-Winner Steve Vai with Andy Timmons. They played Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. Last tribute of Vai, Timmons, Meinl and all visitors to one of the greatest musicians ever.
